Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

This is placeholder legal text, not reviewed by counsel. Replace it before relying on it.

1. What this is

Peer Evaluation System is a tool for teachers to run structured peer evaluations for a class or period. It is a personal productivity tool, not a legally certified record-keeping or grading system, and results should be treated as an input to a teacher's own judgment rather than an official record on their own.

2. Accounts

Only teachers create accounts and receive email (verification, password reset). Students never receive email; they access their evaluations with a per-student access code issued by their teacher, not a personal login.

3. Free trial

New teacher accounts receive a free trial period with full access. After the trial ends, an account becomes read-only. You can still view and export existing data, but you can't create or edit classes, rubrics, or periods until access is restored.

4. No warranty

Peer Evaluation System is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose, and are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from use of the service.

5. Your data

You own the class, roster, and evaluation data you enter. We do not sell or share it, or use it for anything other than providing the service to you.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
